What’s on my easel…

This month I am working on an old unfinished landscape painting with acrylics on paper.

I took the reference photo at a local park where I love to walk my dog. I was inspired by the old, worn brickwork and the evocative iron gate. This piece challenged me from the very start - I had to figure out how to depict atmospheric depth convincingly and am still working on the grass in the foreground.

I am looking forward to finishing and signing this one!
